Sunlight slowly lit up the room, in the night their bodies had become entangled. With a groan Kai opened his eyes and yawned, he could feel a warm body next to him and smiled looking over at Elana. He adjusted himself to hold her in his arms, then carefully moved a hair that was in her face.
'I wish that everyday could be like this... waking up by her side.' he sighed snuggling closer to her. 'I need to stop thinking like that.' he silently scolded himself. 'I can't allow that hope unless I figure out a way for us to be together, without either of us having to make such big sacrifices.'
A few minutes passed before Elana stirred. With a y
Upon entering the cottage Kai and Elana were greeted by Callie. They both barely acknowledged the dog each lost in their own thoughts.
"I am going to bed." Elana said flatly trying to keep herself calm.
"Alright." Kai responded placing his hand on her shoulder, concerned. She didn't respond and walked toward her room. She opened the door and shut it behind herself. Kai looked down at Callie who was whimpering.
He stroked the top of the dog's head and sighed. He was uncertain of what to do; he was terrified of the information they had received. Kane had found him and had plans to use both himself and Elana. Kai walked near the tub, on a
As Ronan swam away he did glance over his shoulder at his best friend, before he was out of sight. 'I really wish you luck, you are going to need it.' he thought to himself as he turned his attention back to the direction he was headed.
Kai had managed to put him in a sour mood and the more Ronan thought of the predicament he was in the more depressed he felt. "Stupid Prince why did he have to go off and do something so stupid that makes even me feel sorry for him." he complained to himself.
"But it makes it so much easier for me." A voice replied causing Ronan to stop and spin around to see the one merman he dreaded running into. "Lord K
While Kai and Ronan had vanished beneath the waves to continue their conversation in privacy; Elana made herself as comfortable as she could on the rocks and watched the waves crash against them.
'Why am I being so foolish... I can't think of anyway I could have a real relationship with him. If what my gut tells me is right he's important where he's from and couldn't possibly have the option to give up everything to be with me. It's also not like I can follow him and live in the ocean. I can't breath underwater.' she sighed regretting that the reality of their situation was beginning to sink in.

Meanwhile beneath the waves Kai swam after Ronan, who was already a few hundred yards away from the rocks. "What's going on Kai?" he questioned spinning around to face his friend. "Why did you stop me from talking?"
Kai looked downwards. "I haven't told her."
Ronan arched his eyebrow. "Told her what? That your a prince?"
He nodded in response. "I've given her a false hope that there is a chance that our relationship could work. But I know no matter what I can't do anything about it, especially when I'm going to be crowned King in a few months."
Ronan sighed. "You really made a mess." he said shaking his head. "But what do you think w
Suddenly Kai and Elana were splashed with water. "Ah!" she shouted jumping to her feet. The laughter started again and she turned to look behind her and saw a head emerge from the water. Elana gasped in shock but realized it must be another merman when she noticed the person was male and had short black hair with piercing green eyes.
"Ronan!" Kai shouted. "What are you doing here?"
Ronan smiled. "Is that anyway to greet your best friend?" the dark haired man questioned.
"You're right, I'm sorry." Kai apologized.
"I'm just teasing... But tell me, what happened to your tail?" he asked swimming closer to the jetty and pulled himself ou
Elana, Kai and Johnathan made their way to a small building that sat next to the barn. "I know you will have to head home soon so I just wanted to at least show Kai what our weapons look like tonight so we can save some time tomorrow by just skipping to the training." Johnathan explained as slide the door open.
"That's a good idea." she responded as they walked inside. "Johnathan you have more junk in here than last time." she sighed looking around at scraps of metal, old stirrups irons, saddles and leather that were piled up throughout the building.
"I'm always busy helping out on the farm, and we've gotten a few more horses to train so
Johnathan lead the way back to the house, Elana and Kai walked side by side. It was after a few minutes of silence before Kai spoke. "Johnathan is going to show me how to defend myself on land. I would never forgive myself if something were to happen to you and I wasn't able to help." he said taking Elana's hand and squeezed it.
Elana started to protest but realized that the chances were Kai would be seriously hurt or killed with his lack of knowledge on human weapons. They soon reached the house and could smell the aroma of Lydia's cooking.
They entered and headed to the dinning room. Godric was already seated at the head of the table a
Johnathan looked at the merman in surprise. "You're a Prince?" he questioned.
Kai nodded, "I am." he responded sadly. "I've been bothered more about what will happen every day I am here. I really do love Elana, she's been so kind to me when in the end I know I will hurt her."
"Then what do you plan to do?" Johnathan questioned.
"I don't know. I really have no choices on what I can do." he sighed. "I will be forced to return home at least a few days before I am crowned." Kai paused. "I did lie to her and my father in a letter."
"Why did you lie, and what did you tell her?"
"I lied because I did not want to worry or frighten her." H
Kai lifted his head from Elana's shoulder to look at the farmhouse they were approaching. "It is larger than your home." He commented noticing that the house was two to three times bigger than Elana's cottage, and had a second floor.
"I know, my cottage was built for just my brother and I. But Godric and Lydia's home was built for not only themselves but their children, so over time they made additions onto the house as their family grew. Right now they live alone aside for one of their grandsons." Elana explained, Kai nodded in a way understanding the need to increase a dwelling when a family grows.
They approached the house and halted

Woot new WOW expansion came out this week. So far it's been really fun, I started in Vashj'ir which is an underwater area. The area itself is gorgeous with all sorts of coral and fish life around you. I also love the seahorse mount so cute!

On another note for any of the readers of Washed Ashore I'm sorry I've not updated in forever. It probably will be a long while before I do.
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! I finally got a new laptop and it is so shinny. It's shinny oh and did I mention it's shinny? Lol sorry kinda excited even though we just spent the last three hours setting it up. But psyched I can finally play WoW at the highest settings, (or close to it with it still looking pretty and not having any lag)and can run around in Dalaran and see my character. (Dalaran is the main city where both factions horde/alliance coexist) My old laptop I've had for about five years and has been trying to kill itself for the past six months. Finally the piece that holds the monitor together broke and I had electrical tape covering the
