Washed Ashore Part 13Kai lifted his head from Elana's shoulder to look at the farmhouse they were approaching. "It is larger than your home." He commented noticing that the house was two to three times bigger than Elana's cottage, and had a second floor.Washed Ashore Part 13
"I know, my cottage was built for just my brother and I. But Godric and Lydia's home was built for not only themselves but their children, so over time they made additions onto the house as their family grew. Right now they live alone aside for one of their grandsons." Elana explained, Kai nodded in a way understanding the need to increase a dwelling when a family grows.

Washed Ashore Part 12Kai and Elana entered the cottage greeted immediately by Calli.Washed Ashore Part 12
"Sorry we took so long girl." Elana said to the dog kneeling down to pet her head. Kai smiled and stroked the dog's back as she began to sniff her owner unsure of the unusual scent. Glancing at the clock Elana took note of the time. "It's later than I thought, Lydia's husband should arrive soon to pick us up..." Her eyes widened as she realized how they would be traveling.
"What's wrong?" Kai asked noticing her worried look. "I just realized that Godric would ride his horse and would bring a second for me to ride."

Washed Ashore Part 11Past the edges of the beach and further from the small cottage a thick old forest grew that divided the coast from the rest of the mainland. Within the forest a cloaked man mounted on a bay horse, he used a spyglass to watch the young couple's every movement from when they shared a kiss to their walk back to the cottage. Once they walked inside the cottage he tucked the glass inside his cloak and turned his steed deeper into the forest toward his Lord's castle.Washed Ashore Part 11
